We want to make it as easy as possible to book an appointment with us so we don’t employ limited times when you can call us. If we are open, you can call on 01472 344 608.
You can book an appointment with our GP or nursing staff. Many procedures such as taking blood tests, removing stitches, cervical smear tests or having your ears syringed, can be carried out by a nurse so you do not need to see the GP. If unsure, please ask reception staff when you call to make an appointment or for more information the type of conditions and treatments our medical team can deal with click here
All patients can request a chaperone during any consultation or procedure. Please talk to a member of the reception team or clinical staff to request a chaperone.
Appointment Triage System
We operate a Triage service for our appointments. When you call for an appointment the receptionist will take a contact information, ask for some information about your appointment request and either book yourself in with the relevant Professionals for Example, Practice Nurse, Advanced Nurse Practitioner or HealthCare Assistant or if they feel you need to see a Doctor then a call back with the Doctor will be booked.. The Doctor will call you back and make appropriate arrangements for you. For some patients, the Doctor may be able to deal with your problem over the phone, which will save you having to come in for an appointment. If the Doctor feels you need to come in, they will arrange an appointment.
Once you have registered with our online service you can also book appointments with any of our medical team through our online booking system.
If you would like to register for this service find out more here or speak to our reception staff when you next visit us.
If you are housebound or too ill to come into the surgery you can request a home visit. The GP will only visit your home if they feel that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.
If you are not able to keep your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible that you are unable to attend. Wasted appointments cause delays for other patients and result in longer waiting times for all. Patients who continue to fail to attend appointments without notifying us could be removed from the practice list.
If you use our online booking system, you can cancel appointments through this service.
