About Our Practice

In August 2016, Quayside Medical Centre was taken over by Care Plus Primary Care Ltd from One Medical Group. Although previously providing a drop in service, the drop in service had been ceased by One Medical in April 2016 and the practice run as a GP practice.

Quayside Medical provides a full GP service based in a central Grimsby location, on Albion street a short distance from Freeman Street, with good transport links.

The practice consists of GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistant and we also have staff who speak Polish and Russian.

Meet our team

Appointments can only be given to patients registered with us and we are able to take on new patients. If you would like to register with us,  complete the online registration form or pop into the surgery to complete the registration form.

Our opening hours are

Monday           8.00am – 6.30pm

Tuesday           8.00am – 6.30pm

Wednesday     8.00am – 7.30pm

Thursday         8.00am – 6.30pm

Friday              8.00am – 6.30pm

We are not open at weekends or Bank Holidays. If you need to speak to someone when we are closed call the Single Point of Access number 01472 256 256 who are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can put you in touch with the Out of Hours GP service.


In light of the current coronavirus pandemic, the practice is performing telephone triage for all patients prior to determining the best course of action for their care. Therefore, please be aware, that you will receive a call back from the appropriate medical professional to discuss your health problem.

Do not under any circumstances attend surgery without being asked to do so after telephone assessment. If you do attend for an appointment, please wear a face covering if you can.

The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

- A high temperature

- A new, continuous cough

- Loss or change to your sense of taste or smell

To protect others please get a test and stay at home if you have any of these symptoms.
